Accompagnato da Alessandro “Asso” Stefana (banjo, tastiera, lap steel) e Paolo Mongardi (Fuzz Orchestra, Zeus!), il cantautore Micah P. Hinson presenta “I Lie to You”, suo ultimo lavoro in studio accompagnato da alcuni brani appartenenti alla sua carriera musicale. Con canzoni scritte tra l’adolescenza e i trent’anni, Micah narra i tempi più inqueti e gli anni recenti, sentendosi già rivitalizzato e libero da tutti i pensieri che lo tormentavano. Un live in cui questo menestrello texano si mette a nudo, mostrando la propria storia attraverso brani gonfi di amore, assenza e rimpianto. Il suo è un folk crepuscolare che si costruisce attorno a testi struggenti e poco rassicuranti, ma estremamente colmi di sincerità in grado di scavare dentro ognuno di noi, disseppellendo sentimenti nascosti che ci accomunano. Un mix perfetto di amarezza e malinconia si intreccia con l’alone di mistero e fascino che aleggia attorno alla sua figura, resa ancor più intrigante dalla voce calda e avvolgente che lo contraddistingue.

Hinson presents “I Lie to You,” his latest studio work accompanied by some songs belonging to his musical career. With songs written between his teens and thirties, Micah narrates the most restless times and recent years, already feeling revitalized and free from all the thoughts that plagued him. A live performance in which this Texas minstrel strips himself bare, showing his own story through songs swollen with love, absence and regret. His is a twilight folk that is built around poignant and non-reassuring  lyrics, but extremely full of sincerity capable of digging inside each of us, unearthing hidden feelings that unite us. A perfect mix of bitterness and melancholy are interwoven with the halo of mystery and fascination that hovers around his figure, made all the more intriguing by his warm, enveloping voice.
